At HYFC, we are committed to providing a safe, fun and inclusive environment for all our players.
Every HYFC coach is in a position of trust and must therefore pass a DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) check and have an up-to-date Certificate in Safeguarding Children in Football as a minimum.
HYFC’s Club Welfare Officer, Tim Dixon, is responsible for implementing safeguarding across the Club and supporting coaches in their duty of care. He has the full support of our committee.
Our children and young people are at the centre of everything we do. Their needs and wellbeing are paramount.
We have adopted all relevant codes of conduct and policies regarding safeguarding, respect and anti-bullying. These are all available in the Document section of our website.
For HYFC coaches, please do not hesitate to contact Tim for advice or support in relation to safeguarding.
For parents/carers, please familiarise yourself with the relevant codes and policies. Tim will be happy to assist with any queries. Parents can also undertake a free course on Safeguarding Awareness for Parents and Carers, available here:

Thank you for entrusting your children and young people with HYFC.
